A family-oriented, Bible-believing church with a vision to be a lighthouse in Clarksville.
Family Worship Center is a warm, welcoming church family in Clarksville, Tennessee. We love Jesus, we love people, and we believe God still moves with power today.
We are a place where families grow together, where the Word of God is taught with sincerity, and where the gifts of the Holy Spirit are welcomed and active.
Pastor Jon and his wife welcome you to Family Worship Center. Come as you are — you will find a family that loves Jesus, loves people, and is glad you are here.
“Our vision is to be a lighthouse.”
We desire to shine the hope of the Gospel into our community and beyond — pointing people to Jesus, the true Light of the world.
We believe in one living and true God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — eternally existing in three persons, equal in power and glory. This triune God created all things, upholds all things, and lovingly governs all things.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings. It is the complete revelation of His will for our salvation and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Through His death on the cross He obtained eternal redemption and forgiveness for us. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day and now intercedes for His people at the right hand of the Father.
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” — 1 Timothy 2:5
We believe that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ. Our sin deserves the just wrath of a holy God, but Jesus absorbed that wrath in our place. No good works or human effort can save us — only faith in Jesus. True faith is always accompanied by repentance: a turning from sin and a turning to Christ.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts people of their need for Jesus, gives new spiritual life, and indwells every believer. The Spirit seals us for the day of redemption, leads us, and empowers us to live godly lives and serve effectively.
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” — Ephesians 4:30
We believe Jesus still fills believers with the Holy Spirit, empowering them for service and witness. We also believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in Scripture continue today — including healing, prophecy, and other gifts — and that these gifts are to be desired, developed, and exercised in love for the building up of the church.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…” — Acts 1:8
“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” — 1 Corinthians 12:7
We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances given to the church. They are not a means of salvation but are meaningful expressions of our faith and God’s grace.
We believe the account of origins in Genesis 1–11 is a factual presentation of actual events. God created the various kinds of life by direct, supernatural acts.
We are a family-oriented church where every generation is valued and welcomed.
The Word of God is our foundation for faith, life, and ministry.
We grow best together — in genuine relationships and shared faith.
We believe the gifts of the Spirit, including healing and prophetic ministry, are for today.
We would love to meet you. Join us this Sunday and experience the warmth of Family Worship Center.
